A BiG Walk includes:

  • Either an hour or half-hour walk around your local area, in one of Northampton’s beautiful parks

  • Collection and drop off at your home

  • Off-lead play (with your permission) once your dog is comfortable with us

  • Pack walks where possible, as walking with other dogs aids all aspects of development

  • Use of commands which your dog knows and will recognise

  • Positive reinforcement of good behaviour (we’ll never take a dominance-based approach)          [ Find out more about Positive Reinforcement Training ]

  • A holistic approach to their Social, Physical, Intellectual, Communication and Emotional needs

Dogs are better behaved, calmer and more relaxed when they feel confident, safe and secure. This means that gauging your pet’s temperament, guiding their behaviour and aiding the development of resilience and confidence are important parts of any activity.

By supporting your dog through different experiences (new places, public transport, other dogs or children), we actively help and reinforce your dog's natural positive coping mechanisms.

We understand that challenging behaviour often has an emotional source. We can help you, where necessary, to understand and adapt their behaviour and responses.
